Obituary
Raymond H. Hileman, age 89, a former resident of Lehigh Acres, Florida, died Tuesday, October 25 in Winfield, Illinois. He was born on May 14, 1916 in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
He was a career Army soldier who served both in WWII and in the Korean War. After retirement he and his wife Daphanee moved to Lehigh Acres Florida. In retirement he was an active member of the Lehigh Acres Elks Lodge. His special hobby was gardening.
Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, Daphanee, his only daughter, Agnes (William) Kovacs, two granddaughters, Wendy and Mary Helen Kovacs, a brother, Paul (Hazel) Hileman and a sister, Myrtle (Rankin) Baker.
Services were privately held at Wheaton Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Elks Lodge in Lehigh Acres.
