Ramona G. Gutierrez, age 87, a resident of St. Charles, IL, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, Illinois. She was born September 1, 1931 in New Kensington, PA to Raymond and Ruth Goodbread.

Ramona attended Wheaton College and West Penn Nursing School, where she graduated with a degree in Nursing. She married Fortino Gutierrez in 1955 and after his military service moved to Carol Stream where they raised four children. After moving to Glen Ellyn, she began to work again as a nurse. She worked at Central DuPage Hospital, for Dr. Erickson in his pediatric practice and later cared for patients in their homes.

She was passionate about her faith and attended College Church in Wheaton where she had many friends and touched many lives. She loved cooking, sewing and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed opening her home to share food and faith.

She is survived by her four children, Linda (John) Wiebking of Glen Ellyn, Ellen (Steve) Maglio of Aurora, Flora (David) Oosterhouse of Berrien Springs, Michigan, and Dennis (Kim) Gutierrez of Shorewood, six grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Bowman, Jonathan Oosterhouse, Mercedes and Steven Maglio, and Danielle and Dominic Vaia and two great-grandsons, Declan and Cormac Bowman. She is also survived by her sister, Rachel (Dick) Honquest of Inverness and extended family in Pennsylvania.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
