Ralph V. Peebler, age 85, of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at home. He was born June 16, 1924 in Libertyville, Iowa.
Ralph received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. He wrote for Capper's Farmer Magazine in Topeka, Kansas. Then he went on into agricultural advertising at Brown Ad Agency in Chicago. He and a friend established their own Advertising Agency for Agrochemical, Inter Agriculture. Then he established his own company, Peebler and Company, which included advertising, marketing, and public relations for agrochemical and farm machinery.
He enjoyed farming on his parents farm in Libertyville, Iowa. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf and bridge with his wife Rosalie and friends.
He is survived by four children, Cynthia Peebler of Wheaton, and Lezli (Tom) Rogers of San Diego, CA, Steven Peebler of Chicago, IL, and Ralph (Michelle) Peebler of Ramona, CA; granddaughters, Jessica and Vanessa; his sister, Marjorie Bledsoe of Coeur D'Alene, ID; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie (nee Van Dyke), his parents, Ralph and Ruth (nee Preston) Peebler; and his brother, Leland Peebler.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
