Ralph E. Alexander, age 81, a resident of Wheaton, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. He was born June 28, 1941 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Ralph Sr. & Edith Alexander.

Such a Strong Man. Ralph touched so many lives. Whether it was the time spent in the Military, coaching sports, owning a shoe store, working in the moving industry (working all night downtown till 7am), managing a warehouse, creating MGA Services or passing someone in the store. Ralph was a kind living soul, who loved his family, adored his grandchildren and looked out for his friends. He always had a smile on his face. Everyone who met him will remember his charm, his caring heart, the respect that he would give you, his ability to listen to you when you needed an ear, and most notably, his contagious laugh.

He was a man of many talents, never said 'no to a job or task' and was the FIRST to lend a hand----the LAST to leave and did it always with a smile!

He enjoyed his days listening to AM Radio (LOUD), ball games, reading newspapers, going over his horse racing forms (he loved the ponies!) and helping anyone who needed a hand.  He also enjoyed playing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dad was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life.  He always has good advice and could calm you down when needed.  He was an extremely hard worker, well organized, proud of a job well done, all without complaint.  Ralph was a bright light in this world who would beam positivity into people who surrounded themselves around him. Ralph made this world, and more specifically this community, a better place. He will be missed.

He is survived by his sons, Matt (Nicole) Alexander, Gene (Kathy) Iturbide, and Michael (Laurie) Iturbide; his grandchildren Nick Conser, Paige Iturbide, Jack Iturbide, Rachel Iturbide, Aisling Alexander, Shaylee Alexander, and Mila Alexander.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Anita; his daughter Debbie Addington; and his grandson Joshua Addington.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187, on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
