Obituary
Rafael E. Lopez, age 85, a resident of Wheaton, died Saturday, October 9, at the Wynscape Health Care Center in Wheaton. He was born in Cuba on September 6, 1919.
Mr. Lopez lived in Cuba until 1980, where he graduated college. He came from Cuba to Wheaton with great ambition. He had been a volunteer at the Wheaton Library. He loved music and dancing.
He is survived by one son, Rafael Lopez of Cuba, one sister, Estela C. Lopez of Cuba and one brother, Julio (Imelda) Lopez of Wheaton and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanca Cabrera Lopez.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, from 9:30 until 10:30 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. at St. James the Apostle Church, Park Blvd and 22nd St. in Glen Ellyn.
Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
Memorials may be directed to P.A.D.S.or Masses are appreciated.
