Rachel Streblow, age 89, a resident of Geneva, IL, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 of natural causes.

Miss Streblow was born Nov. 14, 1922 in the town of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Streblow, she attended grade school and high school in Wisconsin Rapids. She attended Wood County Normal School and graduated from Platteville College in 1944 with a 3 year degree in education, then taught in an elementary school in southern Wisconsin. Later she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University in 1971 before becoming employed at Wheaton Academy in Wheaton, IL.

Those preceding her in death were her parents; 5 brothers, Vernon, Alvin, Fred, Emmet, and Lester; and 3 sisters, Irene Johnson, Mabel, and Ruth Shermer. Surviving her is one brother Hilbert (Helen) Streblow of Livingston, MT.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 11, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Geneva, East Campus, 2300 South Street, Geneva, IL 60134 (630.232.7068)
