Rachel L. Adderley-Pozzie, age 36, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 5, 2019, at her home.  Rachel was born July 1, 1983 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Velvette Newman (Bud) and Blaine Adderley (Patricia).

On March 10, 2017 she united in marriage to Michael Pozzie in an intimate beautiful ceremony in Wheaton.

Rachel loved flowers, crafts, painting.  She was passionate about cooking... and loved fishing with her son Jay. Jay was the light of her world and she gave everything within herself to make sure he knew he was loved.

As a child, it was "Rachels way or no way!" She was sweet, confident, smart and beautiful, always the one to catch the attention in the room. She had a quote to live by "Life changes in a heartbeat…. live everyday like it's your last!" and that is just what she did…. She LOVED life.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Pozzie, her son, Jay Adderley, her mother, Velvette Newman, her father, Blaine Adderley, her step-father Bud Newman, her step-mother Patricia Adderley, her sister, Nichole (Vince) LaCour, her brother, Daniel Adderley, and her sister, Marissa (Mar) Allen. She loved being supportive to her nephews and nieces, Tyler, Rylen, Beaux, Payton, Jaden, Kyler, Savade, PresLeeMarie, and Deegan.

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Dupree Walters, Grandmother, Daphne Moos, Grandfather, Richard Adderley, Grandfather, Joseph Hatch, Grandmother, Barbara Newman, and Uncle, Donald Adderley.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL where a funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m.
