Priscilla I. Johnson, age 86, a resident of Wheaton, and formerly of Glen Ellyn, died Wednesday, May 3, at home. She was born October 20, 1919 in Medford, MA.
Priscilla was a member of Gary Memorial United Methodist Church in Wheaton and was an active member there. She volunteered with the Wesley Resale Shop and the United Methodist Women. She loved to knit, needlepoint, read, and was an avid Bridge player. She was also a talented gardener.
She is survived by her three children, Robert A. (Barbara) Johnson of Cary, NC, Alice E. (Dr. Stephen) Hertzberg of Naperville, and Martha P. Johnson of Loves Park; five grandchildren, William (Debra) Johnson, Dr. David (Allison) Hertzberg, Nancy (Richard) Holland, Katherine Hertzberg, and Erin Johnson; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Raymond Johnson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 12, at 10:00 A.M. at Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
