Phil Jackson, age 79, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, died August 31, 2013 in Wheaton, Illinois. He was born July 2, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan.
He celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2013. As a young man, he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He was an avid writer of poetry. Phil was a hardworking self-made, successful business man.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Jackson of Cape Coral, Florida; his daughters, Linda and Debra, and son, Steve (Nancy); his grandchildren, Scott, Shawn, Jessica, Steve, Channing, Alec, and Haley; his great-grandchildren, Cash and Cruz; and his step-brother Jack Robertson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lida and Bradley, his sisters Ada and Wyseka, and his brothers Brad and Esmer.
A funeral mass will be held September 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., Wheaton, Illinois 60187. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
