Peter P. Yosenick, age 75, a long time resident of Carol Stream, IL, died at home on Sunday, June 16, 2019.  He was born March 17, 1944, in Chicago to Peter and Wanda Yosenick.

Pete grew up on the north side of Chicago and graduated from Gordon Technical High School where he played football.  He also swam competitively for the Chicago Park District. He served in the U.S. Army beginning in 1965 and was stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado. While on leave in 1966, he met Joan Hurley.  They were married on September 14, 1968.

He was a project manager for several manufacturing companies: Continental Can Company, US Can Company, Rapistan Dematic Corp., and Amerisource Bergen.  He retired in 2010.

He had a lifelong love of fishing that was fostered by his grandfather.  Pete also enjoyed golfing with Joan and good friends. Pete loved working with his hands and would tackle any project from car repair to building an addition on the house; this can-do spirit lives on in his children.  His and Joan's love of travel took them to 48 states and numerous international destinations.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Yosenick; three children, Jennifer Yosenick, of Wheaton, Thomas (Holly) Yosenick of Royse City, Texas, and Timothy (Kimberly) Yosenick of Suwanee, Georgia; six grandchildren, Evan, Arin, Kael, Hadley, Jackson, and Alexis; and two brothers, Robert (Suzanne) Yosenick of Cypress, Texas and Jay (Carol) Yosenick of Laguna Niguel, California.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Yosenick.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m.
