Peggy Joyce Schramer, (nee Ballard), passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Oct. 9, 2020.

Born May 30, 1936, in Rockingham, NC, to Herbert Miller Ballard and Villie Rainwater Ballard. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, David Joseph Schramer of Warrenville, IL, her children, Joyce Tamm-Mader  (Kenneth) of Warrenville, IL, D. Gregory Schramer (Donna) of Wheaton, IL, H. John Schramer (Susan) of Oswego, IL, and Jeffrey Schramer (Dawn) of Winfield, IL, her grandchildren, James Tamm (Krystal), Whitney Tamm, Justin Tamm, Ariana Schramer Sjuts (Alex), Tristan Schramer, Austin Schramer, Katura Schramer, and Jordyn Schramer, and her great-grandchildren, Corbin Tamm, Kira Tamm and Davi Ptak.  She is also survived by her sister, Betty Ballard Jervis (Charles of Redlands, CA), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Peggy moved from North Carolina in 1950- graduated from Wheaton Community High School, worked at the Ford dealership on Front street where she met David…. And then married in 1956.  Peggy was a stay-at-home mom for many years until she gained employment at Craigin Federal Savings/Loan where she worked until her retirement in 1995. She then immediately took employment at Gaede's Clothing store until they closed their doors. Anyone that knew her knew it was right up her alley!   She went to work after that at Katie's Boutique in Glen Ellyn and worked until well into her later years.  She loved it so much! Anyone that knew her loved her and admired her great sense of fashion. She was a very fun-loving person as well as a devoted to her family, compassionate and classy lady!  She was truly loved by all and will be sorely missed!

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 28 ^th from 9:30 until 11:00 am at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL.  A private burial will be held at Wheaton Cemetery.
