Peggy Louise Bolinger (McGuire), age 87, passed away peacefully at Brighton Gardens of Wheaton, IL on Monday, December 8, 2014. Born in Mexico, IN, on October 26, 1927, she was the youngest child of the late Charles and Ruth McGuire.

She was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late Edward H. Bolinger and is survived by her daughters Ann L. (John) Schwendler of Carlyle, IL, Jean E. Bolinger of Hudson, MA, grandchildren Sara (Jacob) Weber and Jason May, in addition to nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 siblings and 8 half-siblings.

She graduated in 1945 from Jefferson Township High School in Miami County, IN. She was a cheerleader in high school and loved to dance, especially ballet and tap.

A resident of Wheaton for 49 years, she was a good neighbor and friend to many. She held a variety of jobs (both paid and volunteer positions) during her lifetime. Among these, she was a "room mother" to classes at Lowell Elementary School and volunteered in the library there as well, and she worked in the cafeteria Edison Jr High, both in Wheaton. Her last job before she decided to retire was at Renfro Auto Center in Glen Ellyn, where she was employed as a bookkeeper. In her retirement she was a "backyard birder" and enjoyed feeding and watching the variety of birds and wildlife that would pass through the yard of her Wheaton home.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 1pm until the time of service at 2pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton IL. Interment will be private.
