Paul J. Swanson, age  68, a resident of Wheaton, IL, and formerly of Lombard, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at home.  He was born February 22nd, 1953 in Chicago, IL  to John and Mary Swanson.

Paul grew up in the Chicagoland area, spending most of his youth in Oak Lawn. He graduated from Marist High School and DePaul University with a bachelor's degree in accounting.  He worked in several fields, including accounting, network management, and sales. He enjoyed watching the Chicago White Sox and went to a game every year with his sons and grandsons.

He enjoyed reading, hiking, camping, and spending time with his grandsons. He was a staunch member of several community groups, and provided uncountable advice to everyone he met. Paul was also involved in the YMCA Guides program, and was the chair for the Tri-Town chapter for many years, impacting the lives of many children in the program.

He is survived by his sons, Scott (Melissa) Swanson of Bolingbrook, Robert (Carlicia) Swanson of Bolingbrook, and Thomas (Tina) Swanson of Naples, Florida, his grandsons, Logan and Benjamin, and sisters Ann, Patti and Joan.  He was preceded in death by his wife Janice M. Swanson.
