Paul Bernhardt Ross, age 77, a resident of Wheaton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 3. He was born on June 27, 1933 in Fisher, MN to Arthur and Elizabeth Ross.
Paul grew up as a farmboy. He graduated from the University of North Dakota and then served in the US Army. He worked for over 30 years as a buyer for Sears.
Church was a very important part of his life and in recent years has been a member of First Baptist Church of Wheaton. Throughout his 20 year battle with cancer his faith in the Lord has remained strong.
He is survived by wife, Judith A. Ross, three children, Vicki (Mark) Bock of Mukwonago, WI, Wayne P. Ross of Wheaton, and Jeffrey (Wendy) Dixon-Ross of Lacey, WA, 5 grandchildren, David, Christopher and Austin Bock, and Johnny Dixon and Tyler Gohl, and two step daughters, Lisa and Wendy Vanderbilt. He is also survived by one brother, Gerhard (Norma) Ross and one sister, Ruth (Melvin) Ellinger and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his twin brother, Edwin and younger brother, Richard.
A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 12:00 noon at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 10 to 12 noon. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
