Paul E. Hess, age 70, a resident of Lombard, and formerly of Bolingbrook and Wheaton, died July 13 at Beacon Hill Health Center in Lombard. He was born on March 19, 1937 to Lyndon and Ruth Hess while they were serving as missionaries in Zambia.

Paul enjoyed photography, playing tennis, being a carpenter and Mr. Fix-it.
He also loved to study geneology and was a devoted student of the Bible. He retired after many years as a computer programmer at Argonne National Laboratories.

He is survived by his children Judith Rutherford, Stephen (Karen) Hess, Karl (Angela) Hess and Karen Hess, his grandchildren, Kayla, Abigail, and Joseph Hess and Emily Parrott. He is survived by his siblings, David (Jeanette) Hess, Margaret Hess, and Elizabeth Poole, and a sister-in-law Rhoda Hess.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Hess.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, from 4 - 8 pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Wheaton, Illinois.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 20, at 10:00 a.m. at the Warrenville Bible Chapel, 4S157 Curtis St., Warrenville, IL 60555. Interment will be at Wheaton Cemetery.

In lieu of floweres memorials to Warrenville Bible Chapel would be appreciated.
