Paul P. Didzerekis, age 81, a longtime resident of Wheaton, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020.  He was born March 17, 1939 in Chicago to Louis and Estelle Didzerekis.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 1963. He went on to earn a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Loyola University of Chicago Law School in 1964.  He practiced law for over 55 years. He was a good and kind man.  His concern for others led him to serve his fellow man both in law and in civic activities.

He was admitted to practice law before the Illinois Supreme Court - 1964, the United States District Court - 1964, the United States Supreme Court - 1971. He was a member of the DuPage County Bar Association - Local Governmental, Real Estate Law and Probate Committees, and Chairman of the Estate Planning and Probate Committee 2000-2001. He was also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association serving on the Professional Conduct Committee, Member & Members Services Committee and Assembly Delegate - 1989-1996, 2001-2008.

He was also a Licensed Real Estate Broker. He served on the Lewis University Law School (now Northern Illinois University Law School) -1975 Member of Paraprofessional Advisory Board, Lewis University Law School (now Northern Illinois Law School) - 1976-1977 - Adjunct Professor of Law and Ethics in Action Program.

His prestigious career included work for Sears Roebuck & Co. as Executive/Attorney - Governmental Affairs, Law and Tax Departments from 1960-1965, for  Ashcraft & Ashcraft - Chicago - Member 1965 - 1972, for Didzerekis and Douglas - President & Partner - Chicago - 1974-1975, in Sole Practice - Chicago and Wheaton - 1975 - Present and was Public Administrator - DuPage County- 1996 - 2006.

His civic activities included: United Way Wheaton Carol Stream - Board of Directors - 1982 - 1988, President - 1987,Kiwanis Club of Wheaton - Board of Directors 1989 - 1993, Second Vice President - 1992 - 1993, The Eleanor Association - Board of Directors and General Counsel - 1970 - 1985; President - 1983-1984 Greater Wheaton Chamber - Member, Selective Service - Local Board 54 - 1982 to 1997 - Vice Chairman, DuPage County Crime Stoppers - Director and Treasurer 1991 - Present, Wheaton Park District Commissioner - 1991 - 1998. Vice-President - 1993 - 1994, President - 1995 - 1997, DuPage County Board Member - 1998 - 2002, and DuPage County Forest Preserve, Commissioner - 1998 - 2002.

Paul was also active in politics. His activities included: Chairman Milton Township Republican Central Committee - 1996-1998, Vice-Chairman Milton Township Republican, Central Committee - 1992 - 1996, Republican Precinct Committeeman - 1988 - 1998 - Milton Township Precinct #95, Milton Township Coordinator for Governor Jim Edgar, Campaign Manager for Judge John J. Nelligan, Assistant Campaign Manager for Sheriff Richard P. Doria, and Committee Member on numerous campaigns.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his children: Ann Frances, Paul, Sacha, Alexis, Rhonda and fourteen grandchildren.
