Patti Lynn Sulfridge, nee Scofield, age 49, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died at home on Friday, August, 22. She was born on October 26, 1958 in Flint, MI.
She was raised in Grand Blanc and Fenton, MI and graduated from Grand Blanc High School. She graduated from Anderson University in Indiana in 1980 with a BA in Business Administration. She worked as an accountant for General Motors and later for EDS in the Detroit area. On May 25, 1985 she married David Lee Sulfridge at the West Court Street Church of God in Flint, MI.
After living in Lowell, MA, Chatham, NJ and Grosse Pointe, MI they moved to Wheaton, IL in 1993. She was devoted to her family and passionately supported her children in their athletic activities. She volunteered at Washington Grade School in the English as a Second Language program.
She is survived by her husband, David Lee Sulfridge, two children, Steven and Susie, her mother, Betty (Jim Kleckner) Scofield of Swartz Creek, MI, her father, Mike (Sherry) Scofield of FL, two siblings, David (Krystal) Scofield of Otisville, MI and Connie (Dennis) Winston of Goodrich, MI, and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Viola May, Doris and Seth Scofield, and Marjorie and Ed Rasmussen
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., in West Chicago.
