Patrick M. Farrey, age 73, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at Claremont Hanover Park in Hanover Park, IL. He was born December 22, 1939 in Chicago, IL.

Pat loved his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a longtime employee at Northern Trust Bank. After retiring he opened the Chicago office of First Honolulu Securities. He was a volunteer at Central DuPage Hospital. He was actively involved at Bethany Chapel in Wheaton where he served as a Sunday School teacher and as the Treasurer. Earlier in his life he had ministered at other churches as a Sunday School teacher and an Awana leader.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria; his five children, Patrick (Julianne) of Naperville, IL, Jeffrey (Deanna) of Sugar Grove, IL, Kelly (David) Nelson of Wheaton, IL, Tammy (Christopher) Mays of Carol Stream, IL, and Carrie (Peter) West of Wheaton, IL; 16 grandchildren, Ryan, Keegan and Nolan Farrey, Anthony (Jennifer) Gallandez, Sara (Sean) Rash, Jeffrey (Jenna) Farrey and Tyler, Annika and David III Nelson, Cameron and Brenna Mays, and Kyleigh and Peyton West; three great-grandchildren, Anthony Jr. and Kyle Gallandez, and Blake Farrey; his sister-in-law, Kay Farrey; his nieces, Cori Farrey and Lori Kulczycki; and his nephew, James Farrey.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Farrey.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
