Patricia French Westberry, age 71, a resident of Glen Ellyn for 40 years, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. She was born February 5, 1940 in Chicago to Jessie and Marjorie French.

On October 26, 1957 she married Charles Westberry Jr. at Eastside Baptist Church in Chicago. In 1968 they moved to Glen Ellyn, where she went on to work at Glen Ellyn Savings and Loan and then to American Heritage Bank, later Household International Bank, where she retired from to take care of her family. She has been a member of Village Green Baptist Church since 1968. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Westberry Jr. of Glen Ellyn, three children, Susan "Kim" (Patrick) Nelms of Wheaton, Charles (Paula) Westberry III of Berwyn and Jason (Karin) Westberry of Wheaton, five grandchildren, Patrick, Jeffrey, Charles IV, Sean and Samuel, and one brother Bill (Maureen) French of Oak Lawn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert "Bob" French and sister Earlyn French Carlson.

A visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m.

Private interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
