IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia
Sullivan
May 15, 1930 – January 30, 2026
Patricia "Patti" Sullivan of Wheaton died on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was 95 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents Goldie and Leonard Ross and by her spouse Richard Sullivan and former spouse Robert Hill. She is survived by her sister, Nicki (Joseph) Miglino, children Robin (Glenn) Rinker, Rebecca (Greg) Korbecki, Rhonda (Keith) Knippen, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and the Sullivan children Robert (Pam) Sullivan, Juanita Smith, Rick (Mary) Sullivan, Jim (Gayle) Sullivan and many grand and great-grandchildren.
Patti Ross was born in Benton, Illinois in 1930 to Goldie and Leonard Ross. After graduating from high school in Benton, she moved to Chicago to work. There she met Robert Hill and married in 1951.They had three children: Robin, Rebecca, Rhonda. Later the family moved to Glen Ellyn then Wheaton, Illinois where Patti lived the rest of her life. In 1978 she married Richard Sullivan in Wheaton.
Patti worked for Illinois Bell in Benton and later in Lombard for many years after it became At&T. Studying while working, she became one of the first managers without a college degree in her forties. She retired from there in March 1990.
Patti was a talented seamstress. She would make matching outfits for her girls and their Barbies. The sewing machine was heard long after her children were in bed. Patti's family had a rich heritage growing up in Benton, Illinois and she took her family there to visit often. Dancing, traveling, pet dogs and spending time with grandchildren were some of the joys in her life. Many memories were made at her home and pool in the Trees of Wheaton.
In their later years, she and Richard enjoyed traveling to many destinations and to visit family. They spent a lot of time at Cress Creek Country Club socializing with friends.
The last 8 years she lived at Brighten Gardens in Wheaton. There she enjoyed playing Bridge and meeting many new friends. We are so thankful for the staff at Brighton Gardens and Hospice for their care and support of Patti in her last few years.
Family has requested no donations.
