Patricia R. Sawyer, nee Reilly, age 71, a resident of Wheaton, IL, for 52 years, died Saturday, July 6, 2013. She was born October 31, 1941 in Chicago to Joseph J. and Charlotte Reilly.

Patricia grew up in Calumet City and graduated from Thornton Fractional North High School. She married Roland Sawyer on February 11, 1961 and they began their life together in Wheaton. She worked as a teachers aid in Wheaton for 25 years, retiring in 1994.

She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson, Missouri. Her family was a very important part of her life and she almost never missed an activity of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Roland Sawyer, two daughters, Angela (Robert) Kneisel of Carol Stream, and Kimberly (Gerald) Duttlinger of Wheaton, four grandchildren, Christine, Melanie, Rebecca and Michael, and her brother, Joseph "Bud" Reilly of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. Further services and interment will be private.
