Patricia Pecararo, age 71, a resident of Paris, Texas, died October 6, 2017, in Carrollton, Texas. She was born June 26, 1946 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
She was born to Medilia and Fred Schmidt in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. She was the eldest of her siblings and became a role model at a young age. In her younger years, she was a singer in a band as well as a queen for the Heath Corporation float in 1964.
She dedicated her working years to the church in multiple capacities. Patricia was a dedicated wife, sister, mother, and grandmother to her two children and grandson. She was an anchor of faith for her family and those close to her. In her retirement years she continued to work with children's ministry and the elderly. Her passion was to lead as many as possible to Christ. A lifelong love of writing, art, cooking, and botany filled her life with joy as well as those around her.
She is survived by her children, Nick Nickon of Plano, Texas and Jacqualyn Nickon of Wheaton, Illinois; her grandson Brandon Nickon; her sisters Jodie (Dave) Barricklow and Julie (Jim) Lesk.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dominic Pecararo; her parents Medilia and Fred Schmidt; her siblings Freddy Schmidt Jr. and Laurie Sternaman.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 4th, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Wheaton Cemetery.
