Patricia A. Koszola, age 81, a resident of Elgin, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. She was born May 24, 1941 in Chicago, IL to John & Dorothy Pocica.

Patricia (Pat), affectionally called Patty or Patsy, was a strong woman who was not afraid to speak her mind.  She was a devoted caregiver to her husband, Donald, throughout his 16-year battle with cancer. Pat was the happiest Polka dancing with Don on the weekends with their many friends.  She enjoyed going to the casino, shopping on QVC, and spending time with family.  Patricia had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed being teased by her children and grandchildren.  The strength she demonstrated through her obstacles in life guided her family to love each other, forgive each other, show compassion and kindness, and to live life to the fullest.

She is survived by her children: Steven (Jill) Koszola, Jennifer (Jay Heinekamp) Koszola, Michele (Jerry) Tully, & Amy (Kurt) Sauber; her 10 grandchildren: Krystle Koszola (Trevor Burns), Steven J. (Lauren) Koszola, Britnee Nawa; Zachary, Kaitlin, Lindsey Choate; Jessica Koszola (Greg Maynard); Ashley (Jake) Austin & Jake Tully; Kylie Sauber; and her two great-grandchildren: Scarlett Burns & Steven Nawa. Also survived by her siblings Judy (the late Pat) Fitzgerald, John "Butch" (Fran) Pocica, Robert (Shirley) Pocica and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Koszola and her parents.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday, July 9, 2022, 9:15 a.m. from Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187 , to St. Michael Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458 . (Please meet at the cemetery office at 12:00 Noon.)
