Patricia L. Johnson, age 82, a 30-year resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away suddenly on Mother's Day, May 13, 2007. Pat was the treasured wife of Dr. Robert W. Johnson, with whom she had just begun their 61st year of marriage. Pat was devoted mother of Judi (Root), Carol (Davis) and Scott; proud mother-in-law of Timothy Root, Rob Davis and Jennifer Johnson; most adoring grandmother (affectionately known as Nan and Nana) of Darrin Root, Peter Root, Ben Aylesworth and Gavin Johnson; beloved great-grandmother of Nicholas Root and very newest great-granddaughter (May 10, 2007) Katelyn Root; and the most loved sister of Samuel Pedler III.

Pat was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, genealogy, nature, science, and the arts of all types. Pat was born and raised in San Diego, CA, a fourth-generation Californian, and she and Bob were high school sweethearts. Their life together in the Navy took them to many places around the country and the world. Her journey continues now to an even more breathtaking place. God speed, our dear Patricia.

Family will receive visitors and friends from 2:00pm until the time of a memorial service to be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, May 17th, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Interment is private.
