IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Grace
Evans
December 18, 1932 – September 20, 2025
Patricia Grace (Puccinelli) Evans, 92, of Crystal Lake, IL, entered her eternal home on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born on December 18, 1932, in Chicago, IL, to Robert McGuire and Catherine (née Moran). Patricia and her siblings grew up in their father's childhood home on Kostner Avenue.
Patricia was married to Raymond P. Puccinelli for thirteen years and had four children together. She later married Jack L. Evans and had three additional children. Patricia and Jack moved to Oak Park with their family and made many happy memories there before moving to Wheaton in 1989. They enjoyed shopping for antiques, taking trips, and spending time with their many friends.
Patricia was full of deep love and passion for her family, always ready to help whenever she was needed. Her most joyous moments were cooking and baking for both everyday meals and large family gatherings. One of her greatest gifts was the extravagant family beach vacations she generously provided for over twenty years. She loved nothing more than hearing laughter around the table, seeing everyone having a good time and being together as a family.
In addition to raising seven children, Patricia loved gardening, ran a successful Shaklee business, taught interior decorating, was a talented seamstress, re-upholstered furniture, enjoyed embroidery and other needlework projects, and created a vibrant home blending both modern and antique. She was a true artist, bringing her love for color and texture to everything she did.
Patricia also had a deep faith in God. She was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Patricia tried to live her life guided by Scripture, and her faith helped her gracefully navigate life's challenges. She generously gave of her time, talent, and treasure to support her church as well as many other Christian charities.
Left to cherish her memory are Patricia's devoted children: Suellen Bryntesen, Timothy Puccinelli (Linda), Sean Puccinelli (Kelli), Jacklyn Fulop (Timothy), Patrick Evans (Wendy), and Keith Evans (Shelly); her adored grandchildren: Faith Higdon (Matt), Rebecca Peplinski, Kyle Bryntesen (Jill), Catherine Lindloff (Aaron), Rachel Engelhardt, Kristina Silverman (Josh) , Kara Puccinelli (Dan Wright), Nicholas Puccinelli, Ryan Puccinelli (Pina), Eileen Ayotte (Travis), Evan Fulop (Erika), Grace Fulop (Kris Layng), Emma Fulop (Sean Wilson), Lily Fulop (William Gamrat), Sean Evans (Stephanie), Megan Milligan (Andrew), Jillian Evans (Jordan Beyer), Jack Evans (Jaclyn), Kayleigh Evans, Cole Evans (Gina Kelling), Ian Evans (Brianna LaMonte ); her precious great grandchildren: Zachary and Eli Higdon, Elleigh Peplinski, Sylvia Ojeda (Luke), Phineas and Stella Lindloff, Loic Engelhardt, Oliver Silverman, Ashlen, Max, and Ivan Ayotte, Emerson, Avery and Cade Evans, Rowan and Maeve Milligan. Patricia also leaves behind her siblings Kathleen Davis and Kevin McClure (Wendy) as well as many dear friends and extended family members.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 48 years, Jack L. Evans, her brothers Edwin A. McGuire, Walter J. McGuire, her sister Roberta E. Sander, and her son Ross P. Puccinelli.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in Patricia's memory be made to the National Indian Child Welfare Association (www.nicwa.org) to support a cause dear to her heart for many years.
