Pat J. Burlingame, age 86, a resident of Waterman, IL, and formerly a longtime resident of Wheaton, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021, peacefully at home. She was born January 2, 1935 in Moline, Illinois to James Cecil (JC) and Golda Lena Copeland.

Pat was a real estate agent for 30 years in the Wheaton area but more importantly she was very active in her church in children's ministries and women's ministries. Dick and Pat were charter members of the Carol Stream Baptist Church and were instrumental in starting AWANA programs from the ground up. She served as AWANA Director for over 45 years and was active in the rooting and planting of the AWANA programs for multiple churches.

Pat hosted Back Yard Bible Clubs and organized Vacation Bible Schools every summer, reaching children for Christ. She enjoyed utilizing Child Evangelism materials of which she had a storehouse full. No one could tell a bible story like Pat! Children were mesmerized as she told missionary stories with a passion. She also had a gift and love for music at a very young age. She played the piano at the Silvis Heights Baptist Church in Silvis Illinois were she grew up. She used her talent to serve the Lord playing piano and organ at church throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Richard "Dick" Burlingame and her children, Sherry Jack-Binder (Bruce) (Kent), Bruce Burlingame (Mary), Keith Burlingame (Connie), Laura Torres (Tony), Mark Burlingame (Janice), and Faith Bullman (Daniel); 18 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 9-11 AM at Faith Baptist Church, 27W010 Parkway Drive, Winfield, Illinois 60190, where a funeral service will follow at 11AM. Internment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
