Patricia Anna Ackerson (née Tobin) of West Chicago died on March 17 th 2017 on her 91 st birthday. Her four children were by her side as she went to her eternal rest.
Patricia, a longtime resident of Massachusetts was a graduate of Braintree High School class of 1943. She was married to the late Everett Russell (Bud) Ackerson in 1949 and over the years they made their home in Braintree Massachusetts, Westfield New Jersey, Holliston Massachusetts, Gilford New Hampshire, Palatine Illinois, Wilmington North Carolina and Wheaton Illinois.
Patricia enjoyed garden club, playing bridge, doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting and sewing, and was involved in church activities. She loved reading to her grandchildren and instilled a love of reading in them. A woman of quiet patience and deep faith, she was sweet and kind and loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by and lovingly remembered by her four children; Karin (Joseph) Potoshnick, Joan (Jeffrey) Cramm, Kristen (David) Prahl, and Thomas (Robert) Ackerson,
Her 10 grandchildren; Esther (Thomas) VanDrunen, Matthew (Nicole) Potoshnick, Elizabeth (Stephan) Leman, Meagan Cramm, Steven (Meghan) Cramm, Ryan Abramic, Chelsea (Evan) Sanders, Linnea (Scott) Eschenbaum, Michael Prahl and Jack Prahl,
And her 10 great-grandchildren; Annika, Isaac, Silas and Timothy VanDrunen, Noah, Ella and Hans Potoshnick, Jonas Leman, Emma Sanders, Raylee Eschenbaum and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Bud Ackerson, her daughter Linnea, her parents James and Florence Tobin and her dear sisters Alma Lingham and Marion Bayley.
Services and interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dogs Ministry.
