Pat Dexheimer, age 63, a resident of Batavia, and formerly of Wheaton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, peacefully at home. She was born October 16, 1952 in Elmhurst to Clyde and Lucille Tate.

She grew up in Wheaton and attended Glen Ellyn Public Schools. She graduated from Glenbard West High School. She worked as dispatcher at Illinois Bell where she met Fred Dexheimer. They were married on August 2, 1975. They raised three sons in the Wheaton area. In later years she has worked for Good News Publishers and at Wal-Mart.

Her faith was an important part of her life and she was devoted to daily time with God. Her spiritual walk was a great influence to her family. She was an active member of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church and the women's Bible Study at Glen Ellyn Bible Church. She enjoyed travel, was an avid reader and loved horses.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Dexheimer, three sons, Steven Dexheimer of Geneva, Jonathan Dexheimer of Waterman, and Timothy Dexheimer of Edwardsville, five grandchildren, Phoenix, Alina, Peyton, Amayah and Phineas, sister, Sandra (Stanley) Rejholic and brother, Douglas (Marie) Tate.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Parkview Community Church, 764 St Charles Rd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
