Pamela Sue Worthley, age 71, a resident of Monarch Landing independent living center in Naperville, IL, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at The Springs at Monarch Landing in Naperville. She was born January 18, 1944 in Long Branch, NJ.
Pam graduated from McMurray College in Springfield, IL in 1966. She lived in NYC for ten years working for Booz Allen Hamilton and famous fashion photographer Roger Prigent (Roget'). She also resided in Red Bank, NJ, Short Hills, NJ, Hinsdale, IL and Southport, NC. While living in Southport, Pam was an energetic volunteer for the Dosher Memorial Hospital resale shop and for the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Pam was an outgoing and vibrant woman early in life while living in NYC. She attended many social events, Broadway shows and sporting events. She had many opportunities to meet and mingle with celebrities during her tenure working for Roger Prigent. She spent many summer weekends in Bay Shore, NY with family, and Point of Woods, NY with friends. Despite a midlife disability, she persevered and maintained her love of life and family, social skills, sense of humor and sharp wit. Her faith in God and church affiliations, strengthened her for thirty-six years. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her brother, George "Chip" Worthley; her niece, Sarah Kern Monteleone; her nephews, Matt Kern and Ben Kern; nieces, Amy Worthley Storm and Emily Worthley Smith; nephew, Mark Trout Worthley; and great nieces and nephews, Christopher, Madelyne, Parker, Hannah, Madison and Rylan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Louise Worthley Jr.; and her sister, Nancy Worthley Kern.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10:30 AM at
Monarch Landing
in Naperville, IL.
