Pamela Lynn Eichhorst,nee Wendt, age 53, a resident of Winfield for 23 years, died Sunday, November 22 surrounded by her family at Central Du Page Hospital. She was born October 3, 1956 in St. Charles, IL to William and Mary Jane Wendt.
She grew up in Wheaton and attended the Wheaton schools. She married Bill Eichhorst on February 8, 1975 in Wheaton. She worked for Graphix Products in West Chicago for many years. Pam enjoyed her family, holidays, outdoors and riding her Harley.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, her son, Mike Phelan of Aurora, two sisters, Debbie Wendt of Albany, MN and Kim (Roger) Hommerding of Albany, MN. She was the loving aunt of Tracy (Fidelmar) Castro, John (Claudia) Wendt, Bill Wendt III, Bob Wendt, Jackie, Kendra and Lyndsay Hommerding, god-mother of A.J. Berry, and great-aunt of Tony, Joe, Michelle, and Miranda Castro. She is also survived by her first husband Rick Phelan, and his family.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Warrenville Cemetery.
A memorial scholarship fund will be set up in her name.
