Oscar Lyko, age 91, a resident of Naperville, passed away, peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2022. He was born August 13, 1931 in Cicero to John and Julia Lyko.

Oscar graduated from Morton High School in Cicero. He joined the US Air Force and served from 1951 until 1953. He was married to Rose Marie Viktora in 1952 and they were married 18 years. After his service they lived in Elmhurst and started a family. He worked for Automatic Electric. He earned a bachelor's degree from UIC while working full time. He helped start the Corporate America Federal Credit Union. He retired from Automatic Electric in 1986.

He enjoyed travel and together with his wife, Gloria, traveled the world in retirement. He enjoyed fishing, driving and winters in Florida. He was a member of Calvary Church in Naperville.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gloria, his two sons, Thomas (C.J.) Lyko of Arizona, and Kenneth (Susan) Lyko of Lombard, two step-sons, Tim Marcus of Florida, and Mark (Soula) Davis of Romeoville, his grandchildren, James and Matthew Lyko and Marky Davis, two great-grandchildren, Roselynn and Scarlett Lazich.

He was preceded in death by his step-son, Paul Davis, two grandchildren, Rose Ann Lazich and Tyler Lyko and one brother, John Lyko.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 9:30 to 11 at Hultgren Funeral Home, Wheaton, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois.
