Obituary

Octavio "Junior" Carrillo, age 7, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. He was born on April 27, 2004 in Melrose Park, IL.

Junior was the beloved son of Octavio and Alma B. Carrillo and the big brother of Kayla A. Carrillo. He was a very loving, caring, strong, child who became everybody's hero. He was diagnosed with Diffuse Pontine Glioma at age 5 and he never lost his faith and hope for a miracle to happen and lived his life to the fullest until the end. He had such a wonderful sense of humor and played jokes on everyone or said little sarcastic things out of nowhere. He touched everyone's heart and taught them a lot about life at such a young age. No matter where he was at home, school, or church he was always very loved.

Junior loved to play board games, rock paper scissors, starring contest, thumb wars, baseball, golf, Wii, hot wheel cars, and he enjoyed going to going church and school. He was a huge Chicago Cubs fan and loved Walt Disney World. As long as he was having fun he loved whatever he was doing.

The mention of my child's name may bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring music to my ears.
If you really are my friend,
Let me hear the music of his beautiful name.
It soothes my broken heart and sings to my soul.
