Obituary

Norman J. Voth, 86, of Phoenix, AZ, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 4, 2012. Born in Mountain Lake, MN, he met Loretta, his wife while they were students at Wheaton College. In 1949 they were married in Chicago, IL. Norm continued graduate work at Wheaton in radio communication. He was one of the pioneers in the use of multi-track recording of sacred music in the early days of religious radio programming at Back To The Bible Broadcast. His life-long service to the Lord allowed he and Loretta to make many friends and co-laborers through his work in several churches and religious organizations. He retired from Moody Bible Institute in 2002 where he was a representative in development involved in staff training and implementation of individual charitable planned giving and legacy estate plans for the benefit of advancing God's kingdom.

Norm is survived by Loretta, his wife of 62 years, four children: Noretta Singley and husband H.E., Janet Mills and husband Dan, Robert and wife Leslie, David and wife Janice; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a sister, Violette Fladland.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Norm's memory may be made to the Moody Bible Institute, c/o Emily Ferguson, 820 N. LaSalle Blvd., Chicago, IL 60610 (donations will be used to fund student scholarships in loving memory of Norm).
