Nigel Marie Hvale, age 102, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, passed away on November 21, 2017, at Windsor Park in Carol Stream, Illinois. She was born October 1, 1915 in Maunie, IL.

She graduated from Calumet High school in Chicago, IL. She was a very active member of Lorimer Memorial Baptist Church in Chicago, IL, where she met her husband Leonard. Then in 1953 they became members of First Baptist Church of LaGrange, IL. She was a member of PEO in LaGrange, IL. She was devoted to her Church, her family, and her friends.

She is survived by her children Barbara Ruggles of Frankfort, IL, and Richard Hvale and his wife Catharine Hoff of Bloomington, IN; her grandchildren, David Ruggles his wife Holly, and Nicholas Hoff-Hvale; her great-grandchildren Brandon, Josh, Jake, Kylie Ann Marie, and Brady Ruggles; her many beloved nieces and nephews and many dear family friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband E. Leonard Hvale; her son David Leonard Hvale; her loving sister Bonnie Moilanen.

A visitation will be held November 25, 2017 from 9:00 am until the start of the funeral service at 10:00 am at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will follow at Bronswood Cemetery, 3805 Madison St, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
