Nicholas P. Anderson, age 20, a lifelong resident of Winfield, died Friday, July 10 in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was born on November 18, 1988 to Steven and Suzanne Anderson.

Nick attended the District 200 Schools and graduated from Wheaton North in 2007. At Wheaton North he played four years of football and loved all kinds of competition. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, particularly the Cubs, Bears and Notre Dame Football. He loved to read and his favorite author was Vince Flynn. Nick could make everyone laugh and enjoyed his close circle of friends.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, Elise, maternal grandmother, Martha Lakin of Normal, IL, paternal grandparents, Dave and Virginia Anderson of Mt. Prospect, IL, uncle, Dave (Katrina) Lakin of Pekin, IL, aunt, Nancy Anderson of Des Moines, IA, cousins, Troy, Ian and Emma, and his cat Taffy.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Lakin and uncle Ken Anderson.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Wheaton Bible Church, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
