Newell Daniel Jennings of Wheaton, IL passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, IL. He was born January 15, 1946, the son of Howard Lampson Jennings D.D.S and Violet (Hengesbach) Jennings. He attended Sycamore High School, Sycamore, IL., and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL. A proud veteran of the army, he served at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He married Tracy Wilhelms on March 14, 1981 and they established a home in Wheaton, IL. with their son Quinn. Newell worked in sales and security until his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed following the Bears and White Sox, playing golf, and reading historical biographies in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife Tracy, son Quinn (Amber Asbach) of Geneva, IL, brother Jack McGregor (the late Sandra Heys) of Gambrills, Maryland and brother Paul (Linda) of St. Louis Park, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Margaret Ann Braswell.

A visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187, on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. A private burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, IL. Please sign the guestbook here .
