Obituary

Natalie C. Kelley, age 77, a resident of Wheaton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, peacefully at home. She was born December 17, 1938 in Chicago to Carl and Helen Kastner, where she was the apple of her father's eye who called her "Amy."

Natalie grew up in Elmwood Park. She married Silas Kelley on July 12, 1958 and began their gypsy quest, moving over 20 times during their marriage, including Illinois, Missouri and Florida. They worked together in many different occupations, including owning restaurants. She was a wonderful caring mother for four children. She was able to thrive on changes and was able to roll with the flow and had a wonderful and weird sense of humor.

She was a very kind person who had a beautiful view of life. She loved the water and sunsets and she never gave up on the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed the companionship of her small dogs. Her faith was strong and she was looking forward to seeing those that she missed. Recently, she was baptized as a way of showing her faith to others. She valued others for who they are and accepted them as special individuals. She had several lifetime friends, who were very dear to her.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Hege of Ingleside, Jennifer (David) Mead of Lake Villa and Monica Kelley-Marcelo of Lombard, seven grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Andrew and Matthew Hege, Silas and Payton Mead, and Adam Marcelo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas in 1997, one son, David Kelley, her parents and brother, Donald Kastner.
