Nancy E. Wallenberg, age 72, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, and formerly of Wood Dale, IL, died Saturday, December 27, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born June 1, 1936 in Chicago, IL.
Nancy grew up in Elmhurst, IL and graduated from Ripon College and Northern Illinois University. She taught at Fenton High School in Bensenville. She then became a professor at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. She had a positive impact on many students' lives throughout the years of teaching.
She is survived by her two sons, Scott (Debbie) Wallenberg of Wayne, IL, and David (Jennifer) Wallenberg of Wheaton, IL; three grandchildren, Daniel, Bradley and Kyle; her brother, Robert Schorb of Overland Park, KS; her brother-in-law, Jerry (Patty) Wallenberg; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Frank; her son, Christopher; and her brother, Jim Schorb.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL.
