Nancy Strobeck Perry, age 62, a resident of Jupiter, Florida went to be with the Lord at home on May 15, 2017 after a brief, heroic battle with cancer. She was born on February 27, 1955 at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago to Charles and Janet Strobeck.
Nancy grew up in Wheaton and graduated from Wheaton Christian Grammar School and Wheaton Christian High School (now Wheaton Academy) in 1972. She was a longtime member of College Church in Wheaton.
Her concern for others, especially seniors, caused her to become an accredited massage therapist. She worked for M and M Orthopedics in Wheaton and was in great demand in Jupiter. On October 30, 2004 she married Mike Perry and they moved to Jupiter in 2003.
She loved being involved with her daughters activities. Nancy was a gifted people person who was likable and reliable. She will be remembered for her kindness, her smile and laughter. She enjoyed her Swedish heritage, sewing and cooking. Her faith was lived out rather than expressed with words and she was always anxious to meet needs and to be there for friends.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Perry, two daughters, Lisa (Scott) Kattenbraker and Linnea (Bryan) Melick, seven grandchildren, Maia and Stella Kattenbraker and Hana, Maddison, Chloe, Reid, Jonas Melick, her mother, Janet Strobeck, four sisters, Carol (Gary) Buchanan, Beth (Ken) Ellis, Jane (Gerry) O'Carroll and Jean Strobeck and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Neil and her father, Charles Strobeck.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Windsor Park Auditorium, 120 Windsor Park Dr., Carol Stream, IL 60188.
