Nancy Ann Parla, age 53, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL after a long and courageous battle against ovarian cancer. She was born June 10, 1957 in Chicago, IL.

Nancy dedicated her career to the Insurance industry. She was AVP at Arthur J. Gallagher Services in Itasca, IL. She was an avid stamper of greeting cards. She graduated from COD and was working on her degree at the time of her passing. She was a member at St. Daniel Catholic Church in Wheaton, IL. She enjoyed volunteering and over time worked with numerous civic and community groups.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Parla of Wheaton, IL; her daughter, Tracy, and her son, Nicholas; her sister, Mary (Keith Broyles) Juarez-Broyles; her brother, Patrick (Gail) Taylor; her parents, Charles and Betty Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service to be held at 12:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to the family for a college fund to be set up for Nicholas.
