Obituary

Nancy C. Milota, age 83, died May 5, 2022, at Villa St. Benedict in Lisle, Illinois. She was born December 15, 1938, to Frank and Marian Bezdek.

Nancy married John Milota in July of 1957. Her first priority was as a homemaker and mother. She took pride in her home and was dedicated to her family. She was a caring and generous woman.

She lived in Cicero, Brookfield, Western Springs, Lemont and at Villa St. Benedict in Lisle.

Her first language was Czech and Czech traditions were important to her. She loved cooking and baking Czech delicacies and celebrating St. Nicholas Day each year on Dec. 6th.

She enjoyed gardening and especially loved her roses. She was a seamstress, making sophisticated dresses and family outfits that were often matching. Every year she made Halloween costumes for her children.

Nancy was a cancer survivor of Diffuse large B cell Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

She worked at Cicero Savings and Loan, Sears Catalog, Snap-on-Tools, and Sharp Electronics. She loved to travel and took an annual family trip. In retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively in the US and on two special international trips: visiting Belgium and the Czech Republic, and Italy.

Most of all she was proud of her children and grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her husband, John Milota, her daughter, Cynthia Milota (Jeff Kitcheos), her son, John Milota (Elaine Rendin), her sisters, Mary Ann Sidlowski (the late Don) and Barbara Novak (Joseph) and her grandchildren, Alex Kitcheos, and Elliott Kitcheos.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home. Prayers will begin at the funeral home on  Friday, May 13, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Wellness House in Hinsdale or The Residential Hospice Foundation .
