Naina Singh Magar, a cherished member of our community, was born on July 1, 1950, in Bhutan and lived through challenging circumstances as a Bhutanese refugee. After facing years of displacement and hardship, Naina arrived in the United States in August 2012 in search of a new beginning along with his family. Despite the challenges of resettlement, he embraced life in St. Charles, IL. with resilience, hope, and gratitude, building a meaningful life filled with service, love, and faith. Due to his chronic health condition, he has been in hospice care since August 2024. He went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2024.
Naina was a beloved church member at Agape Nepali Nepali Church Wheaton, at St. Charles, IL. Through his life, he brought light, kindness, and faith into the lives of so many. Naina was a blessing to us all. He is no longer with us but will be in our hearts and memories. We thank God for the gift of Naina's life and hold onto the hope that we will meet again in God's eternal embrace.
He is survived by his wife Dil Maya; his 6 children (Khagi Magar, Ganga Magar, Aiti Magar, Man Magar, Sher Bdr Magar, Bal B. Magar); his Nine grandchildren; his one brother Gyan B. Mgar  & Four sisters(Khina Magar, Dhan Magar, Dhan M. Magar, Bishnu M. Magar).

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Agape Nepali Church, 315 Walnut Ave., St. Charles, IL 60174.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
