Myrtle F. McGee, age 81, a longtime resident of Wheaton died Wednesday, October 7, 2009. She was born on July 30, 1928 in Cordova, NC to William and Mary Moore.

Myrtle was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Winfield. She worked for over 20 years at Owens-Illinois in St. Charles. She was known for her beautiful crocheted items.

She is survived by her son Roy (Doris) McGee Jr. of West Chicago; three daughters Kay (Steve) Griffey of West Chicago, Sharon (Randy) Williams of West Chicago and Barbara Vaughn of Gilbert, SC; 11 grandchildren Roy McGee III, Michael , and Jason McGee; Steve Jr. and Kevin Griffey; Brennan and Brittany Gosnell, Brandie Bechtold; Tammy Hott; Misty Mehta; and Jeremy Williams; 12 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Fred, Tim and John Moore, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy McGee Sr., her parents, son Larry McGee, son in law William "Billy" Vaughn, and three brothers.

Visitation will take place at Hultgren Funeral Home 304 N. Main Street Wheaton from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9. Funeral services will be held at Faith Baptist Church 27W 010 Parkway Dr. Winfield, IL on Saturday, October 10 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Fred Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
