Montene Foss born Sept. 13, 1934 in Bald Knob, Arkansas. Her parents Kennon and Odalene Alexander moved her to Lyons, IL in 1950. She met Donald Rosone and married in 1952. They had two daughters, Susan and Karen. Montene loved her family and church. She was involved with Awana Clubs & sang in the church choir. Her husband, Don, died in January 1968. She later remarried Wally Foss. Combined they had 5 girls: Lyla Spata (Jim), Cathy Neesan (Ron), Vickie Rivers (Mike), Sue Rogus and Karen Steinhauer (Henry); 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Montene & Wally resided in Wheaton for almost 50 years, attending First Baptist Church of Wheaton. Montene worked as the chemistry department secretary at Wheaton College for 25 years. After Wally passed, Montene moved to Windsor Park for the final chapter of her life.

A visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187, on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. The service will be livestreamed through this link: Funeral Service for Montene Foss .
