Monica Radcliffe Wylie was a committed Christian, devoted mother of three and grandmother of four. She was a believer in lost causes, whether it be pregnant single teens, families near the poverty line or oppressed and marginalized Christians and others in the Holy Land.

Music had always been part of her life. Monica was a "choir warrior", from a family of "choir warriors".  At one time or another she was a member of seven different church choirs in four states across the country. She had sung at the Presbyterian Church USA General Assembly in Long Beach,CA and Carnegie Hall in New York City.

At her death she was a 16-year member of First Presbyterian Wheaton, and a fervent Michigan State Spartan, class of 1967.

In death Monica was preceded by her parents Douglas and Phyllis Radcliffe and her sisters Launa Melvin and Emily Nadeau. She is survived by her husband Jonathan, her children Phyllis, Joseph and David Kirk, her grandchildren Hannah, Alan, Madeleine and Kenneth, and her brothers Eric and David and their families.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, 715 N. Carlton Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187 on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The service will be livestreamed and recorded through this link: Memorial Service for Monica Wylie . A private burial was held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
