Monica Sue Fox of Mendota, Illinois, passed away on April 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, loyalty, and spirited individuality. She was a proud Italian who carried that heritage with joy and personality.

She had a deep love for her family and friends, and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Miami Dolphins, listening to Elvis, and enjoying movies and cars.

Monica believed in working hard, respecting others, and doing the right thing, She especially loved her job at Sullivan’s grocery store, where she formed genuine connections and brightened the days of those she worked with and served. She expressed her creativity through woodworking, quietly enjoying the process of shaping and restoring with care.

She was a loyal and cherished friend, known for her sentimental heart, her kindness, and her radiant smile. Monica loved others deeply, including her beloved cats, who brought her comfort and companionship. She often reflected on her childhood in Wheaton, Illinois—memories of family, horseback riding, and the moments that shaped her. She was thoughtful and caring toward others, and held close the people and memories she loved.

She is reunited in heaven with her parents and her beloved aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her brother Roger, her aunt, cousins, and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Monica will be remembered for her kind heart, her beautiful smile, and the genuine warmth she brought into the lives of those who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
