Miriam H. Timko, age 87, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Harbor Chase of Naperville.  She was born October 1, 1933 in Waukegan, Illinois and was adopted by Rev. James and Clara Helen (Budenbender) Harrison.

Miriam's life centered around Hadley Junior High after graduation from Wheaton Bible College.  Many of her former students remember Miriam from teaching.  In fact, one of those dear students named Cathy, was Miriam's caregiver at Harbor Chase of Naperville.  Miriam not only enjoyed teaching school, she enjoyed being a Children's Choir Director for several years at Wheaton Bible Church where she was an active member serving in the Home Builder's Class.

Miriam loved to entertain her many friends for which she was most grateful.  Those friends that preceded her in death she missed immensely.  She would often reminisce how much she missed her husband, George of 49-years, who passed in 2016 and her adoptive parents.

Miriam is survived by her cousins:  Bill Budenbender of SC; Joseph Robert Harrison, Jr of FL; Janna Nash (husband Rich Purtle) of OR; and her many friends.

A private burial was held at Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park.  A memorial service to celebrate Miriam's life will be held in the spring.  Please check back for details.
