Miriam E. MacDonald, age 92, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was born on February 1, 1925 in Millville, New Jersey to Wallace and Helen May.

She was a graduate of Philadelphia Bible Institute (Class of 1945) where she met Jack MacDonald and they were married on August 24, 1945.  She served alongside her husband while he was pastor of Grace Bible Church in Elmhurst from 1947 until 1954 when they went to Venezuela as missionaries with The Evangelical Alliance Mission.

In 1973, they moved to Wheaton where she was active at Grace Bible Church with the S.O.S. women's ministry and taught a neighborhood Bible study.  She enjoyed letter writing and e-mailing with friends, family and supporters. She also did extensive genealogy research and enjoyed needlepoint, garage-sales and shopping with coupons.  She was a wonderful hostess and enjoyed entertaining.

She is survived by four children, Mary Lynn (Larry) Luy, Phil (Elaine) MacDonald, Beth (David) Paver and Paul (Lisa) MacDonald; 11 grandchildren; 7 grandchildren-in-law; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy (Paul) Blakemore, and one brother, Arthur (Betty) May.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2016, her parents, Wallace and Helen May, and two siblings, Patricia Kalmbacher and Kenneth May.

Visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street Wheaton, IL from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, February 2nd.  A memorial service will be held in the auditorium of Windsor Park Retirement Community, 124 Windsor Park Drive, Carol Stream, IL at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3rd.

A private interment at Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL will be held with family members.
