Miriam R. Auge, Age 92, died July 18, 2013 at the DuPage County Convalescent Center in Wheaton, IL. She was born on September 5, 1920 in Tamaqua, PA.

Beloved wife of the late John Wesley Nelson and the late Roger Auge. Loving mother of John W. Nelson, Jr. and Craig S. (Diane) Nelson; Grandmother of Brittany Nelson, Eric Nelson and Brad Nelson.

Miriam (Mimi) was raised in Tamaqua, PA until the age of 20 when she left for Chicago to work as a civilian clerk for the U.S. Army Air Corp. While there she met her future husband John Wesley Nelson, who was stationed in Florida with the US. Navy. After a whirlwind long distance romance, they were married in 1943, eventually moving to Clarendon Hills, IL, until his death in 1969.

Miriam retired to Florida in 1982 where she met and married Roger Auge, until his death in 1999. She was an avid golfer and loved to attend dances with the other seniors in her neighborhood.

Services will be private and interment will take place in Tamaqua, PA. Memorial gifts may be directed to the DuPage County Convalescent Center Foundation, 400 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187.
