Milrae Lindberg, age 82, a resident of Carol Stream, died Saturday, December 27 at the Johnson Heathcare Center at Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream. She was born on January 4, 1926 in Rockford.

Milrae was a very active member of the Wheaton Wesleyan Church where she sang in the choir, coordinated music, edited the church newsletter, served on the missions committee and worked in the office. She was a longtime employee of IL Bell where she began as an operator and retired as an engineer.

She was the youngest of nine children. She was raised by her aunt and uncle and their 5 children and is survived by nieces and nephews including: Marion (Ron) Hanzelin and Charles (Mary) Muir and her brother-in-law, Hugh Muir.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Wheaton Wesleyan Church, 1300 S. President St. in Wheaton. Friends may visit with the family at church from 4:00 until the time of service. Interment will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens in Oakbrook Terrace.
